Wilbur Curtis founds the Wilbur Curtis Company located on Franklin Avenue, Hollywood, CA USA.

Founded in 1941

by Wilbur Curtis

The iconic product is still in the portfolio, almost 60 years after its introduction.

1969

Introduction of DB-12 Decanter

Curtis consolidates four smaller separate facilities and opens its global headquarters/manufacturing facility on Acco Street, Montebello, CA USA. This is still the place where Curtis got its home today.

2000

New site in Acco Street, Montebello

Groupe SEB acquires the Wilbur Curtis Company. Establishes SEB Professional Coffee Machines – The Americas. The division consists of WMF, Schaerer and Curtis.

2019

Because environmental responsibility is a passion of ours it permeates our entire business operation from manufacturing and warehouse improvements to everyday office practices. We truly live the principal of the 3R’s: Reduce, Reuse & Recycle. We recently installed 3,400 solar panels on our facility roof in California to reduce our carbon footprint.
